About Seller: We are a comprehensive Fiberglass Manufacturer specializing in fiberglass lay-up, which is a fundamental and longstanding process for reinforced plastic molding. The mold design can be configured as either male or female, with the mold surface treated with a release agent to aid in the removal of the finished part. A liquid gel coat made of polyester, polyurethane, or other resin is applied to the mold surface. Once the part is molded and removed, this gel coat will become the exterior surface of the part, mirroring the mold. Layers of reinforcement and resin are then added to achieve the desired thickness of the laminate. Lay-up is ideal for creating large structures that require high strengths. Fiberglass spray-up is a mechanized version of lay-up, where a spray gun simultaneously sprays resin and chops continuous glass strands into specific length fibers. The chopped fibers are combined with the resin spray stream, typically used to support a gel coat. The fiber-resin composition is then rolled out to ensure complete wetting of fibers, removing voids and bubbles before the resin cures.
