About Seller: Electro-Mech Components, Inc., established in 1963 and headquartered in South El Monte, California, is located 15 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. In 1966, the company inaugurated a specialized manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, to produce its products. Since 1976, EMC has managed manufacturing facilities in Tijuana for various U.S. companies. These manufacturing services, known as 'shelter' services, leverage Electro-Mech's expertise in conducting business in Mexico. They handle all administrative functions, allowing U.S. customers to focus on production and quality control. In May 1997, Electro-Mech acquired the switchlight product line from Pollak Transportation Electronics Division (T.E.D.). This product line was previously known as Pendar switchline, Clare Pendar switchline, and General Instruments (GI) switchline. This acquisition has reinforced EMC's presence in the avionics and aircraft switch industry, particularly in the cockpit and passenger seating unit (PSU) sectors.
