About Seller: Joseph Vale received his first patent for the 10-foot rotary oven in 1868, marking the beginning of a series of innovative patents. In 1869, Vale relocated the production of rotary ovens to Chicago, Illinois, bringing A.J. Fish, the former brick mason turned owner of Fish Rotary Oven, with him. The first Fish rotary oven was constructed in 1874, predating the invention of the telephone by Alexander Graham Bell. For 35 years, the Fish Rotary Oven Company held the distinction of being the sole manufacturer of rotary ovens in the United States. In alignment with advancements in the baking industry, a mechanical revolving tray oven was created to uphold the esteemed Fish reputation. As the oldest manufacturer of mechanical ovens, Fish takes pride in offering customers nearly 130 years of knowledge and experience.
