About Seller: Since 1947, Harwood Engineering Company has been dedicated to the research, development, and production of pressure components and systems designed to handle, create, pipe, valve, regulate, and measure the flow and pressure of liquids and gases at extremely high pressure levels. Our initial commercial offerings in 1947 included equipment capable of handling pressures up to 200,000 psi, making us the exclusive providers of equipment exceeding 3 Kilobar (45,000 psi) in the United States at that time. Over the years, Harwood has pioneered the "Controlled Clearance" principle, which has become the standard for primary pressure standards above the manometer level, reaching up to 30 kbar worldwide. Presently, we are developing primary force standards in a new apparatus based on this principle. For five decades, we have manufactured equipment capable of producing pure isostatic pressures of up to 30 Kilobar (430,000 psi) at both room and elevated temperatures. Additionally, we produce presses capable of generating up to 10,000 tons of quasihydrostatic pressures, essential for the production of diamonds and for fundamental research in physics, geophysics, and geochemistry.
