About Seller: Luther D. and Emory H. Snyder founded the Littlestown Hardware and Foundry Company, Inc. with sixteen employees, operating as a gray iron foundry specializing in the production, machining, painting, and plating of iron castings. During World War I, the company manufactured castings for bearings and shafts to support the war effort. Over time, the product line expanded to include hardware items such as bench vises, flanges, hammers, bookends, fireplace tools, and door stops, in addition to a wide range of commercial castings. Presently, with a workforce of 95 employees, the company's primary focus is on the production of commercial aluminum castings, accounting for over 90 percent of its business.
