The original rivetless chain was patented on November 12, 1907 (Patent No. 870,704), with further design enhancements patented on December 29, 1914 (Patent No. 1,122,831). Over 90 years of use in conveyors and conveying equipment have demonstrated the durability and reliability of this product. All components of our Keystone Rivetless Chain are drop forged from carbon steel, normalized, heat-treated, and quenched to ensure optimal physical properties. The design of the Keystone Rivetless Chain eliminates bending stress under load, with links experiencing tension load and pins in double shear load. This design also allows for easy assembly and disassembly at any chain pitch. The links of the chain have broached inside radii to ensure full pin seating and pitch accuracy.
