About Seller: Established in 1961 and based in LaPorte, Indiana (USA), Aero Metals Inc. was founded by James W. Fleming, a skilled toolmaker with experience at a prominent aerospace foundry in LaPorte. Leveraging his expertise, Jim established an engineering firm in his basement during his free time, specializing in tool and mold designs and manufacturing product consulting. Recognized for his hard work and innovative design skills, Jim expanded operations to a tool and mold making facility in a small garage in 1964. Aero Metals received its first metal casting purchase order in 1968, prompting a move to a 6000 sq. ft. Quonset hut in Kingsbury, near LaPorte. In 1972, the tool and mold making operation relocated to Kingsbury, marking the beginning of steady growth for the business. As new orders came in, Jim expanded the labor force and identified the need for a larger facility, leading to a move to Darlington Street in the heart of LaPorte in 1980, providing ample space for the company's future expansion.
