Romanzo suggested the idea of a mechanical tying machine to his son, Benjamin H. Bunn, who was a student at Crain Engineering High School at the time. At the age of 19, Benjamin invented the Automatic Package Tying Machine for bundling mail. Over the years, the machine evolved to tie newspapers, laundry, bakery boxes, and printed materials. Today, some customers have been using the same machine for over 75 years in their daily production.
