About Seller: The esteemed history of Conductix-Wampfler dates back to the early 20th century and extends confidently into the 21st century. Following their integration, the once-independent entities now operate under the renowned Delachaux Group, a global leader in various industries. Delachaux S.A., established in France in 1902 as a tram electrification supplier, has evolved into a prominent provider of rail welding systems, rail components, electrification systems, special metals, magnetic systems, plastic injection moldings, and fiber optic cable machinery. The origins of the USA branch of Conductix-Wampfler can be traced back to three distinct companies: Insul-8, Industrial Electric Reels, and Wampfler USA. Insul-8 Corporation, founded in 1944 in San Carlos, California, played a significant role in crane electrification safety with its invention of the Insulated 8-Bar, later setting the industry standard. Over the years, Insul-8 expanded globally and introduced innovative products such as the stainless steel capped aluminum rail used in renowned installations worldwide. In 1976, Insul-8 was acquired by the Delachaux Group. Industrial Electric Reels, a division of Industrial Electric Works founded in 1945 in Omaha, NE, gained recognition for its cable reeling equipment, patented spring reel and slip ring designs, and industrial machinery. IER emerged as a leading supplier of industrial slip rings and motorized cable reeling systems in various sectors. In 1975, IER became part of the Delachaux Group and relocated to its current headquarters in Omaha. Through further acquisitions and mergers, Conductix-Wampfler has expanded its global presence and product offerings to become a leading player in the electrification market.
