About Seller: The esteemed history of Conductix-Wampfler began in the early 20th century and continues to thrive in the 21st century as part of the renowned Delachaux Group. Delachaux S.A. was established in France in 1902 as a supplier of tram electrification and has since evolved into a leading global provider of rail welding systems, rail components, electrification systems, chromium and special metals, magnetic systems, plastic injection moldings, and fiber optic cable machinery. The US branch of Conductix-Wampfler originated from three separate entities: Insul-8, Industrial Electric Reels, and Wampfler USA. Insul-8 Corporation was founded in 1944 in San Carlos, California and was instrumental in enhancing crane electrification safety with innovations such as the Insulated 8-Bar and Hevi-Bar. In 1976, Insul-8 was acquired by the Delachaux Group. Industrial Electric Reels, established in 1945 in Omaha, NE, gained recognition for their hand-rewind Port-O-Reel and patented spring reel and slip ring designs. In 1975, Industrial Electric Reels was acquired by the Delachaux Group and later merged with the Insul-8 brand. In 2006, Delachaux unified its electrification companies under the global name CONDUCTIX, and in 2007, significantly expanded its operations by acquiring Wampfler AG. Wampfler AG, founded in 1952, was a prominent player in the global electrification market.
