About Seller: In 1960, a group of six families identified the growing need for high-quality electronic components in the rapidly expanding high-tech industries. These industries required suppliers who not only understood their specific requirements but also offered services and product specialists to assist in meeting those needs. Thus, Electronic Fasteners Inc. (EFI) was established that same year in a small office in South Boston. The primary focus of EFI was to supply a wide range of fasteners, with a specialization in military-grade fasteners used by the electronics, aerospace, and defense sectors. Over the years, Electronic Fasteners experienced substantial growth and profitability. By 1965, the company had outgrown its 3,500 square foot basement office and moved to a 20,000 square foot warehouse. An additional 10,000 square feet were added to the warehouse in 1972. Today, EFI remains a family-owned wholesale distributor of fasteners and related products and services, with five of the original founding families actively involved in the business. This ensures that customers benefit from generations of expertise in the fastener industry.
