About Seller: Electric Indicator Company (ELINCO) was established in 1926 in Stamford, Connecticut with a focus on manufacturing instruments and controls for electric utility companies. In the early stages of World War II, the company expanded into the specialty fractional horsepower motor business. Since then, ELINCO has been dedicated to designing and producing high-performance precision electric motors in the state of Connecticut. Over the years, the company has relocated several times, moving to Wilton in 1962, Norwalk in 1973, and eventually settling in Fairfield and Bridgeport in 2000. In 2000, ELINCO shifted some of its US motor manufacturing operations to Asia while consolidating light manufacturing and value-added processes in Fairfield and Bridgeport. Additionally, in 1991 ELINCO acquired Japanese Products Corporation, which provided a significant boost to its distribution network and technological offerings through Nidec-Servo products. The acquisition of Japanese Products Corporation, founded in 1969 by an engineer from Perkin Elmer, enabled ELINCO to expand rapidly in various markets, including Hard Disk Drives, medical devices, lighting, automotive, and telecommunications. ELINCO's sister company, Elinco International, Inc., specializes in the production of brushless DC motors. The company boasts a team of experienced executives and managers in the motor and air moving product industry. With a robust sales network across North America and established relationships in Asia and Europe, ELINCO JPC primarily focuses on brushless DC motors, cooling fans, and value-added operations such as encoders, gears, gearboxes, drivers/controllers, and integrated motion or cooling systems. ELINCO JPC has been at the forefront of motor technology innovation, pioneering the development of the Hysteresis Synchronous motor and establishing a strong position in slotless brushless DC motor technology. The company's proprietary and patented slotless brushless DC motors have garnered significant success, with over 6000 units produced to date. In 1993, ELINCO JPC acquired the General Electric SELSYN motor line, followed by the acquisition of the Inertial motor product line in 1994, which was relocated to the Norwalk plant from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Additionally, ELINCO JPC acquired a portion of the Philips Airpax motor line in 1994.
