About Seller: Gems Sensors is a wholly owned subsidiary of Danaher Corporation, which was acquired in September 1997. Danaher specializes in designing, manufacturing, and marketing industrial and consumer products in the Tool and Component and Process / Environmental Controls industries. Our objective at Gems Sensors is to streamline and expedite your product design process by offering fluid sensor solutions that enhance the value of your product and benefit your customers. Currently, Gems produces a wide range of standard and custom products and has a dedicated team of engineers, manufacturing professionals, and technical sales associates. Gems has established itself as the leading source for fluid sensors and controls for OEMs. The history of Gems Sensors & Controls dates back over 50 years to 1955, when the company founder, Edward H. Moore, invented a level indicator in his basement. This invention was patented in 1959. Alongside his colleague, Gordon Seigle, Moore founded the Gems Company (GS for Gordon Seigle, EM for Ed Moore). Gems' initial success came from a bilge switch designed for the marine industry. The rapid adoption of Gems' products in marine and industrial applications led to continuous expansion of facilities and staff, from a 6,500 sq. ft. building to a 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Plainville, Connecticut, USA. Today, Gems designs and manufactures a diverse range of liquid level, flow switches, pressure switches, miniature solenoid valves, and pre-assembled fluidic systems. As a division of Danaher Corporation, a Fortune 500 company with global presence, Gems has manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as sales, engineering, and service offices worldwide. Gems Sensors & Controls offers personalized attention, engineering expertise, and technical support to mitigate development risks, enhance understanding of design challenges, and swiftly identify appropriate solutions. With decades of application engineering experience, Gems is able to prototype, manufacture, and deliver components, sub-assemblies, or systems tailored to your specific requirements. Research and development teams at Gems simulate real-world application environments and conduct thorough environmental testing. Each fluidic component and sub-assembly is custom-designed and rigorously pre-tested for specific applications, spanning from liquid to pneumatic, cryogenic to high temperature, or vacuum to high-pressure systems. Through years of experience, Gems has identified the most effective technologies and product features to address customers' needs. It is likely that Gems has encountered and solved similar design requirements in the past, potentially offering a ready-made product solution. This ultimately saves you time and resources.
