About Seller: Since its establishment in 1947, Harwood Engineering Company has been dedicated to the development and production of pressure components and systems designed to contain, generate, pipe, valve, control, and measure high pressure levels in liquids and gases. Our commercial equipment, first introduced in 1947, was capable of handling pressures up to 200,000 psi, making us the exclusive supplier of equipment exceeding 45,000 psi in the United States at that time. Over the years, Harwood has pioneered the "Controlled Clearance" principle, which serves as the basis for primary pressure standards used globally, reaching pressures as high as 30 kbar. Currently, we are constructing primary force standards utilizing a variation of this principle in a new apparatus. For five decades, we have manufactured equipment capable of producing pure isostatic pressures up to 430,000 psi at both room and elevated temperatures. Additionally, we produce presses capable of generating up to 10,000 tons of quasihydrostatic pressures, essential for applications such as diamond production and research in various scientific fields. Due to our focus on custom specifications and direct client interaction, our market is niche and not conducive to extensive agency-type marketing.
