About Seller: LJ Fabricators, Inc. was established in Rockford, Illinois in June 1983 by Larry A. Johnson. The company initially operated out of a 6,000-square-foot building located at the intersection of Grable and Kishwakee Street. LJ Fabricators provided a range of services typical of a metal fabricating job shop, including shearing, punching, forming, sawing, rolling, spot welding, and MIG/TIG welding. In 1987, the facility was expanded to 11,200 square feet. Recognizing the need for further expansion, in November 1989 Larry invested in a CO2 2-dimensional laser to increase the capabilities of LJ Fabricators, allowing for cutting of materials up to .375 inches thick. Additional services were introduced in June 1992 with the acquisition of 3-dimensional laser cutting equipment. The company has since continued to grow, relocating to a larger facility in 1995 totaling over 39,000 square feet. LJ Fabricators has invested in advanced equipment over the years, including a 4400w Bystronic laser with a tower system in 2004, an additional 20,000 square feet of space with a 10-ton overhead crane in 2005, and another 4400w Bystronic laser in 2007. In 2009, a 6,000w Bystronic laser was added to the equipment lineup, capable of cutting materials up to 1 inch thick. Subsequent equipment upgrades included state-of-the-art Bystronic Expert 165/220s Brake presses in 2010 and 2011, a Trumpf 5000 punch with a 60x120 load/unload system in 2013, and a 6000w Fiber optics laser and a 320 Bystronic Brake Press scheduled for installation in December 2014.
