About Seller: Lovejoy has been a leader in advancing manufacturing technology for power transmission components since obtaining the patent for the jaw coupling in 1927. This achievement is attributed to the dedication of our team and the ongoing support of our clientele. Our enduring success is further attributed to our status as a privately owned company with a primary objective of delivering value that surpasses the product's price. To accomplish this, we are devoted to providing top-quality products with superior customer service at competitive prices. Lovejoy commenced the production of Universal Joints in 1946, coinciding with Merlin W. Dangel assuming the role of company president. The subsequent year marked a significant milestone with the acquisition of the Variable Speed Pulley line. In 1960, the production of VSPs was relocated to a new facility in South Haven, Michigan. This was followed by the introduction of two new product lines, Uniflex and Saga, in 1962 and 1963, respectively. C. Patrick Hennessy assumed the presidency of the company in 1964, serving for the next twenty years. More recently, Lovejoy has been focused on expanding internationally. In 1994, the company established a warehouse in Holland, and in 1995, introduced a line of Curved Jaw couplings, which have become the European standard. In 1996, Lovejoy launched a range of all-metal, flexible grid couplings designed to protect PT systems from vibration and shock. Future plans involve further international expansion, solidifying Lovejoy's position as a global leader in couplings.
