About Seller: Established in 1941 as the Perfection Mica Company, our company initially focused on the extraction and processing of Mica from a mine in North Carolina. Subsequently, we acquired ownership of the Buster mine in the Dakotas, which was the largest Mica mine globally in the 1940s. Alongside this, the Magnetic Shield Division was established to research materials and methods for managing magnetic fields for NASA's space missions. The success of the Magnetic Shield Division led to the company rebranding itself as Magnetic Shield Corporation. The advancements made by Perfection Mica Company in the television and electronics sector facilitated a seamless transition. The sensitive electronic technologies developed during WWII drove our strategy and growth. By the mid-1950s, the demand for magnetic shields surpassed that of Mica, establishing Magnetic Shield Corporation as the primary enterprise in 1956. Over the years, we have maintained our leadership position in the industry by introducing proprietary shielding alloys Co-NETIC(R) and NETIC(R) in 1955, followed by INTER-8(R) weaved cable. These products have set the standard for magnetic shielding alloys. Despite attempts by other companies to compete in the shielding market since the 1960s, many of which were founded by former employees of Magnetic Shield Corporation, our company continues to uphold a strong reputation based on decades of experience and innovation.
