About Seller: Established in 1941 under the name Perfection Mica Company, our primary focus was on the mining and processing of Mica in a North Carolina mine. Subsequently, we acquired ownership of the Buster mine located in the Dakotas, which was recognized as the largest Mica mine globally in the 1940s. In conjunction with this, the Magnetic Shield Division was established with the purpose of developing materials and processes to manage magnetic fields for NASA space missions. The success of the Magnetic Shield Division led to a significant shift in our business, prompting a name change to Magnetic Shield Corporation. Our expertise and contributions to the television and electronics industry facilitated a smooth transition. The strategic growth of the company was propelled by the development of sensitive electronic applications during WWII. By the mid-1950s, the demand for magnetic shields surpassed that of Mica, solidifying Magnetic Shield Corporation as the primary enterprise in 1956. Since then, we have maintained a leadership position in the industry, introducing our proprietary shielding alloys Co-NETIC(R) and NETIC(R) in 1955, followed by the INTER-8(R) weaved cable. These products have set the standard in magnetic shielding alloys. While other companies have emerged in the shielding market since the 1960s, many of them founded by former employees of Magnetic Shield Corporation, we continue to uphold our reputable position through decades of experience and innovative product development.
