About Seller: Ohmite Manufacturing Company has been a leading provider of resistive products for high current, high voltage, and high energy applications for over 90 years. Our comprehensive range of resistor construction includes wirewound, wire element, thick film, and ceramic composition. Established in 1925 by David T. Siegel in Chicago, our initial focus was on manufacturing carbon and wire wound 'lug' resistors for the radio manufacturing industry. As the electronics industry expanded, Ohmite evolved to meet changing design requirements. In 1953, we relocated to a newly built facility in Skokie, Illinois. Over the years, we expanded our capabilities through the acquisitions of Memcor-Truohm and Ward Leonard Resistors in 1996 and 1999, respectively. Additionally, we added Victoreen Components in 1999, specializing in thick film technology for high voltage applications. Ohmite became part of Heico Companies LLC in 1998, leading to the relocation of operations to Matamoros, Mexico, while the Headquarters remained in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. In 2006, we further enhanced our product offerings by acquiring Vishay's Angstrohm Rheostat and Ultronix Precision Resistor divisions.
