About Seller: The company was originally established in 1975 as an electronic components distributor. In 1985, the company underwent a change in ownership and has since focused on serving a core group of small to mid-sized manufacturers with a line of reputable products and exceptional service. Under the leadership of current owner James DiGiovanni in the early 1990s, the company diversified its product offerings to include industrial electric motors and related products. Recognizing the importance of energy conservation in industrial settings, SM Service & Technology partnered with the United States Department of Energy as a Motor Challenge Allied Partner in 1996. Staff engineer Gerald J. DiCarlo joined the company to further enhance its capabilities in this area. The DOE Best Practices Motor Challenge Program, a collaborative effort between industry and government, aims to assist businesses in achieving significant electricity savings. Today, SM Service & Technology has expanded its team and continues to supply motors and various industrial electrical equipment, such as relays, contactors, switches, wire and cable, cabinets, connectors, and more, to industrial and utility customers locally and globally.
