Traditionally, TARUS machines were constructed almost entirely in-house, from raw metal billets and steel plates to the development of our own CNC controls, electronics, heads & spindles, and proprietary software. To this day, TARUS machines are integral to the production of new TARUS machines. Our commitment to longevity begins with a robust and sturdy design. Enhanced structural integrity leads to a more rigid machine, resulting in exceptional surface finishes. A stronger, more robust structure also means enhanced performance, enabling TARUS machines to accommodate larger milling heads, more powerful components, and faster speeds.
In the mold and die industry, our machines deliver top-tier performance and automation capabilities. TARUS 5-axis mills now incorporate cutting-edge CNC technology from Heidenhain and Siemens, paired with milling heads and spindles sourced from German, Swiss, or Italian suppliers. In the aerospace sector, TARUS 5-axis mills are utilized for manufacturing layup tools for composite components, large drilling and assembly fixtures, and milling aluminum aerostructure components.
With a history of innovation, TARUS has become a pioneer in gun drilling, catering to various industries such as plastic molds, diecast dies, heat exchanger tube sheets, process equipment, and power generation. In the automotive sector, TARUS machines play a crucial role in automobile design, body development, tooling, and component inspection. TARUS is credited with inventing the claymill and remains a global leader in clay milling machines and comprehensive car design studio solutions, with approximately half of all passenger vehicles on North American roads having their final shape and design refined on a TARUS claymill.

Our portfolio of car design studio solutions and accessories is tailored to meet the most demanding requirements. TARUS CMMs are widely utilized by automotive and aerospace tooling manufacturers.
