About Seller: Wire Cut Co. specializes in manufacturing wire EDM machining wire parts tailored to meet your specific EDM process requirements. Our company was founded by Milton M. Thomas in November 1978 with just one wire EDM machine, a programming system, and a 150 sq. ft. office space dedicated to electrical discharge machining services. Due to high demand, our first employee was hired in October 1979 and a second electrical discharge machining services equipment was added. After incorporating in 1981, Wire Cut faced challenges in 1982 despite a 35% sales growth, as banks were hesitant to finance expansion during a recession. However, the company continued to grow and by 1983, we had outgrown our facilities and moved down the street where we remained for 13 years. With a team of 24 members, Wire Cut expanded its operations to include 10 wire EDM machining centers, 6 conventional EDMs, and additional machining capabilities to support tooling. Throughout 1987 to 1989, we focused on the aerospace electrical discharge machining industry, securing contracts with companies like General Electric. This led to the acquisition of more wire EDMs, high-speed EDM drilling machines, and CNC machining centers. By 1989, our employee count had reached 34 and our leasing space had expanded to an 8000 sq. ft. EDM job shop facility.
